I haven't talked shite for a bit, so i thought i'd sow a little verbal excrement for a while. I've joined a gaming community called Raptor squad ( http://www.raptor-games.com/index.php ). I got this game called APB which is a PVP (Player vs Player) team based gangster v Police game. It's quite fun, although there are issues with it that need ironing out ( cheats, repetative missions, bad matchups). Being a team based game, i went on to their forum and looked for a team to join...i found Raptor squad. They play lots of different multiplayer shooter games, and i'm really liking Bad Company 2 right now....it's fun. For those who didn't understand a bit of that...you really didn't understand a it? I thought it was really really clear, even for the non-gamer to understand. Time to talk real shite folks.
I've just bought myself a new guitar. I was going to buy myself an expensive guitar like a fender or....well a fender strat of some sort, but i decided instead to get myself an epiphone SG copy instead. I'm sure the extra €500 would've been apparent in the sound, but i am happily munching on hulla hoops and drinking beer with a totally untouched conscious knowing that i didn't piss away the extra spends on a hobby.
I just became qualified to teach English to poor foreign people the other week...which is nice. I will instead, stay here where the money is good, and use the TEFL cert for when things go tits up and we have to move to China to get away from all the racism and opression that real poverty will or may bring....as it is, we're sorted financially as a family unit so we'll hang around for a while and enjoy capatalism for a few more years :)

I know some people will be looking at this site and wondering if i've forgotten about it, but i haven't.
Truth is i've just to date worked 120 hours in the past 11 days wiothout a day off to speak of ( i had one, but i had to change from nights to dayshift and back again). I'm working tonight, then i have Saturday off...My TEFL prof has allowed me extra time to finish the last unit, so i'll be working on it Saturday/Sunday, so i'll be working on this on Monday....Promise.
I'm going to post a review of APB (Preview really as it's just a review on the keys to the city), i'm going to put a new song up, and i'm going to try and get some decent video of Dublin to put to music. I'm getting to buy a new guitar soon (and electric ,probably a Fender Strat), and i'll write the competition song when i get it. I wish i had a decent drum machine/software so i could make it a proper song but we'll do what we can.

Thought i should add something to this place before it looks totaly dead. I've been busy trying to finish my TEFL course in the past couple days but i took today off even though i'm close to the wire in finishing.
I played guitar for 45 minutes (the most i've played in any day this year, and clocked up 85 since i last posted in this blog. I played a few songs right through, and i have one song that i practice every day ( i still haven't managed to play it in a oner yet). Then I ran through a bit of lead and jammed a few riffs that i might use for this competition i've got myself into doing. I've decided that this lyric competition will have a minimum entry level, 50 was a number i was mulling around, maybe 100...i migh task a few mates for their thought. I also thought of a 3 month limit in case that number can't be met. The prize will be set at €50.
So, i have 258 minutes practice under my belt

I've decided not to use this blog as a daily event thing where i bore people to tears about what i had for breakfast, but rather use it when i have some genuine stuff to share with people.
Daemon Sin said that in order to get people to come to the site, i had to fill it wqith stuff to do - Good content, games, liven up the forums and stuff like that. I'm thinking on having a lyrics writing competition where i record a piece of music, and get people to write the lyrics for it, i could then get the word out that there is a cash prize (i'm thinking on €20 for the first one). I'm sure i could get a few people ot come and participate, and even if i don't it's not that much money that i'm sad if it doesn't work. Other things i'm thinking about is a music review section where i (or someone else) reviews an album/single every week. So, i quickly realised that HTML and CSS are not my thing. I've managed to score the help of a professional web designer in the form of Daemon sin to work on the site and make it look respectable. The top bar, and teh layout are examples of his handy work, and i'm eternally greatful for his help. I'm sure as the site gets older, and hopefully people start using it, he will be onhand to make any changes that are needed (if he doesn't kill me first for annoying him). PLans include a page of my archived videos, a page for friends to post their videos (in the future), a photo page for fellow "tin foil hat" enthusiasts...that's about it so far. Once the tweaks are finished, i'll start pushing the site and promoting it as best i can (by emailing all my friends and saying "look at this please :P"
108 minutes practice as of now. I hope to get an electric guitar soon, and a lead to plug it straight into my Zoom h4n. I hope that will increase the range of music i can produce...i'm sure it will.

I've decided to see how quick it will take me to clock up 10,000 minutes of guitar practice.
"10,000 minutes you retarded monkeyboy" I hear you say. I mean i plan to record my practice times (which have of late been 10 minutes a day at best), and try to get 10,000 minutes done as soon as i can. Only rule is that recording time doesn't count.

Hi guys. I'm trying to work out how to create this page, so this'll look pretty crap and basic for mow. Remember to click the ad on the front page, i have adsense installed and i want to make a cent or two from your clicks....the clicks will eventually pay for a small 15V amp (that's the plan anyway).
I want to eventually have a site for my music, and for people who get into what i do.....Tally ho and all that. |
